Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are sent when visiting a website and are temporarily stored on the hard drive of the website user. If the corresponding server of our website is called up again by the user of the website, the browser of the user of the website sends the previously received cookie back to the server. The server can then evaluate the information obtained through this procedure in various ways. Cookies can be used, for example, to control advertising or to make it easier to navigate a website. If you, as a user of the Website, wish to prevent the use of cookies, you can do so by making local changes to your settings in the Internet browser used on your computer, i.e. the program used to open and display Internet pages (e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Safari).

Social Media Plugins

When social plugins from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn are used on Forbes.at, then we employ the "Shariff solution".

Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). An overview of Facebook's plugins and their appearance can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins.

Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc, 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA ("Twitter"). An overview of the Twitter buttons and their appearance can be found here: https://about.twitter.com/en us/company/brand-resources.html.

Instagram is operated by Instagram LLC., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Instagram"). An overview of the Instagram plugins and their appearance can be found here: http://blog.instagram.com/post/36222022872/introducing-instagram-badges.

LinkedIn is operated by LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are not integrated into the page without restriction, but only using an HTML link (so-called "Shariff solution" from c't). This integration ensures that when you call up a page of our website that contains such plugins, no connection is yet established with the servers of the provider of the respective social network. If you click on one of the buttons, a new window of your browser opens and calls up the page of the respective service provider, on which you can (if necessary after entering your login data) e.g. press the Like or Share button.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers on their pages, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in the privacy notices of the providers.
